Exploring Psychology

This curriculum supports students interested in majoring in psychology who want to prepare for careers in counseling, human services, and community studies.

This five course, 15-credit pathway is designed to give students a set of introductory level credits with a focus on providing students with knowledge and activities related to the field of psychology. 

Pathway Requirements (listed in suggested course sequence): 

  • PSY 102:  Personal Growth (3 credits)
  • PSY 110:  Introduction to Psychology (3 credits)
  • ENG 101:  Composition & Presentation I (3 credits)
  • MAT 113:  Intro to Statistics or MAT 124:  Statistics for the Social Sciences (3 credits)
  • MHR 200 (formerly PSY 211):  Introduction to Behavioral & Community Health Systems (3 credits)
