BDN reports on grant funding for Early College
UMM’s Early College program was one of four recipients awarded a MaineSpark grant for innovative education initiatives, the Bangor Daily News has reported. Program director Christy Alley was awarded $5,000 to support the launch of Early College Summer Institutes for high school students. Summer progamming was suspended in 2020 due to COVID-19, but Alley will move forward with launching the programs in summer 2021.
