Outdoor Leadership

This program supports students interested in potential career paths related to guiding, state and national parks, summer camps, and outdoor program management.

This five course, 15-credit pathway gives students a set of introductory set of college-level courses that build skills and confidence in outdoor recreation, leadership, and wellness.

Pathway Requirements (listed in suggested course sequence): 

  • REM 121: Outdoor Recreation* (3 credits)
  • ENG 101:  Composition & Presentation I (3 credits)
  • PHE 107:  Personal Wellness (3 credits)
  • REM 230: Outdoor Leadership* (3 credits)
  • REM 201:  Activity Leadership & Facilitation* (3 credits)
