University of Maine at Machias science majors get hands-on experience from day one. The Division of Environmental and Biological Sciences offers three majors: Marine Biology, Biology and Environmental Geographic Information Science, plus several minors and two certificates. All of our programs immerse students in real-world studies in the field, laboratory, hatchery and classroom.

Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies, housed under the Arts and Letters Division, allows students to choose a concentration. Each concentration is also housed under its own division. Concentrations housed under the Environmental and Biological Sciences Division include:
