2021-2022 First-Year Student Scholarships

All first-year students are automatically considered for the scholarships listed below upon admission.

First year scholarships are renewable for up to four years. Continuation into subsequent years is determined by an annual review after spring grades are available. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 must be achieved to retain the scholarship. Students will be notified in writing by the Financial Aid Office if the scholarship is suspended due to academic standing.

 

In-State and Canadian Students

Presidential Scholarship

$4,000 annually

Eligibility Criteria:

3.0 High School GPA or Combined SAT score of 1020 or ACT score of 20

Bold Scholarship

$2,000 annually

Eligibility Criteria:

2.5 High School GPA or Combined SAT score of 950 or ACT score of 18

 

Out-of-State Students

Please note that any change in residency will result in the adjustment of financial aid, including scholarships. This includes any waiver program that results in non-resident students being charged the resident tuition rate, or a change between out-of-state and NEBHE status.

Acadia Scholarship

$5,500 annually

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum 3.6 GPA on 4.0 scale (or equivalent) or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math of 1110+ (or ACT Composite of 23+)

Sunrise Scholarship

$4,500 annually

Elibigility Criteria:

Minimum GPA 3.0 on 4.0 scale (or equivalent) or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math of 1010+ (or ACT Composite 20+)

Bold Scholarship

$2,000 annually

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum GPA 2.4 on 4.0 scale (or equivalent) or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math of 950+ (or ACT Composite 18+)

 

Out-of-State NEBHE RSP Students

For degree-seeking students from VT, CT, NH, MA or RI.

This includes any waiver program that results in non-resident students being charged the resident tuition rate, or a change between out-of-state and NEBHE status.  The Acadia and Sunrise NEBHE scholarships are offered in addition to the tuition break NEBHE students receive through the New England Board of Higher Education’s (NEBHE) Regional Student Program (RSP).

Acadia (NEBHE) Scholarship

$3,500 annually

Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum 3.6 GPA on 4.0 scale (or equivalent) or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math of 1110+ (or ACT Composite of 23+)

Sunrise (NEBHE) Scholarship

$2,500 annually
