Bio: Marianne Thibodeau is the Director of the Merrill Library at the University of Maine at Machias. Her areas of interest include strategic planning, budget management, assessment, information literacy instruction, and reference services. Prior to this position, Thibodeau served as Assistant Library Director and Head of Instruction and Research at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and as a teacher in Maine public schools. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina – Columbia, and a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Maine. Marianne serves on the board of the Association of College and Research Libraries, New England Chapter (ACRL/NEC), and is a member of the University of Maine System URSUS Library Directors Council. Thibodeau serves the University of Maine at Machias as a member of the Leadership Team, and on the editorial board of the Library of Early Maine Literature, a scholarly imprint of the University of Maine at Machias Press.
