NEW! Accelerated, Low-Residency
GIS Certificate Program
With fast, inexpensive computers and user-friendly software developed over the past decade, use of GIS technology has exploded. It is now required for many careers, leading to a growing demand for people who can use GIS technology.
The GIS Laboratory and Service Center at UMM is at the vanguard. In GIS classes and through our Service Center, students take on real-world projects, getting hands-on experience while making a real difference in local communities. Whether you're enrolling in college for the first time or brushing up on your workforce skills, there's a GIS program at UMM for you.
Use the links on the left to learn more about GIS, see which program is right for you, explore the lab and service center, and check out maps made by students.
