UMM to Host Local Candidate Forum Oct 25
University of Maine at Machias will host a forum for Washington County candidates for state office on Thursday, October 25 from 6-8 pm. The forum will be co-moderated by UMM faculty members Tora Johnson and Sherrie Sprangers, and will be introduced by the university’s Head of Campus Andrew Egan.
Confirmed participants include candidates for Maine senate, Marianne Moore (R) and Christina Therrien (D); candidates for representative of District 138, incumbent Robert Alley (D) and Kimberley Robinson (R); candidate for representative of District 139, incumbent William Tuell (R); candidates for representative of District 140, Arthur Carter (R) and incumbent Anne Perry (D), and candidates for representative of District 141, Kathy Javner (R) and Donald Green (D).
This event will be held in Room 102 in UMM’s Science Building and is free and open to the public. The event will also be live streamed at machias.edu.
