What is the latest health and safety guidance regarding face coverings in UMaine and UMaine Machias buildings?
All students working toward fully vaccinated status are required to wear face coverings. That also applies to students coming to campus under an exemption granted for a documented medical contraindication or sincerely held religious belief exemption.
Face coverings are required indoors for all persons – students, staff, faculty and visitors – regardless of vaccination status when indoors at a University facility. This is effective August 18, 2021 through September 30, 2021. This requirement may be ended or extended depending on civil guidance, the trajectory of the pandemic and public health considerations. More information is on the UMS Together for Me website.
