I’m moving into a residence hall on campus at the end of August but haven’t had time to upload my vaccination card. Will I still need to participate in on-campus COVID-19 testing upon arrival?
Yes, but uploading your card is fast and easy to do. Vaccination verification requires students to upload a copy of their vaccination card to the secure campus portal in order to be exempt from on-campus COVID-19 testing upon arrival. Students presenting their vaccination cards upon arrival who have not uploaded a copy of their vaccination cards in the portal will need to participate in COVID testing.
Currently, vaccinated UMaine or UMaine Machias students and employees who have verified their status by uploading their vaccination cards to the secure campus portal are exempt from on-campus COVID-19 testing upon arrival and throughout the fall semester. Exemption from testing is for those who are fully vaccinated. An individual is considered fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving a J&J shot or 14 days after their second Pfizer or Moderna shot.
