Faculty members who intend to engage in outside employment, which is related to the unit member’s profession, shall promptly report in writing the nature and extent of the proposed commitment to their appropriate supervisor.
At the University of Maine at Machias you are required to report such prospective employment to your Division Chair and Vice President for Academic Affairs, prior to starting such employment. Any changes in the nature or extent of previously reported outside employment must also be reported.
In addition, the University of Maine at Machias requires that you submit promptly a report in writing to your supervisor describing any outside employment that continues from one year to the next.
Rule for reporting are governed by the current UMS/AFUM Agreement .
