Health Services

UMM seeks to provide its students with the best care and resources while they pursue their studies.

The mission of the University of Maine at Machias Health Services is to promote, maintain and improve the health and well being of the UMM community. The Health Center provides students with confidential clinical services and health promotion in a caring, cost-effective and convenient manner. Health Services strive to enhance and support the building of a healthy community thereby strengthening student and employee success.

The Student Health Clinic, located in Sennett Hall, is a walk-in clinic providing an array of primary health care services for UMM students including care for acute illness or injury, help in managing chronic health problems and preventive health care. In addition, referrals can be made to other local providers and Down East Community Hospital for lab work, x-rays, or management of more complex chronic health issues.
