About UMaine Machias
The University of Maine at Machias is the Down East regional campus of the University of Maine. Located in a historic town on Maine’s Bold Coast, UMaine Machias’ campus is surrounded by premier outdoor recreation opportunities, from kayaking and fishing to mountain biking and four-wheeling. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1 and an average class size of fewer than 20 students, we take pride in fostering a strong sense of community and connection that begins inside the classroom and extends beyond the boundaries of campus.
