Begin your career with the support of UMaine Machias’ academic community. Complete your degree at Maine’s premier research institution.

Choosing the field of engineering can be one of the best lifetime decisions a student will ever make. The number of engineering jobs in Maine has grown 25% in the last decade and the demand for engineering graduates is high, with over 1,400 job postings in Maine last year. The majority of engineering seniors receive job offers well before graduation, with an average annual starting salary of more than $60,000.

The University of Maine at Machias Engineering Pathways Program is a cross-campus collaboration that allows students to begin earning their degree on campus in Machias, then transfer to an engineering program at the University of Maine or the University of Southern Maine.
