Early College for UMaine Machias Accepted Students
Take UMaine Machias courses that start before June 1st and receive free or reduced tuition!
For Maine students attending Maine public high schools, state-approved independent institutions, or homeschool students who have filed their notice of intent: One course will be tuition-free if the student has not exceeded their 12 credit tuition-free limit for the academic year beginning July 1, 2021. All other courses will be billed at our special Early College rate of $138.25/credit hour.
Out-of-state students, international students, and private-pay Maine high school students: Courses will be charged at our special Early College rate of $138.25/credit hour.

- The application deadline is one full week prior to the course start date.

All students are responsible for all books and/or materials required for enrolled courses as well as any course-specific fees.

When applying in the ExplorEC portal, you will not need guidance office approval as you are already accepted to UMaine Machias. If you are an out-of-state student, then selected “Out of State” for your high school. If you are an international student living abroad please use the following address in ExplorEC: 116 O’Brien Ave, Machias, ME 04654. Our system is not set up to accept non-US addresses.
