Career Services launches new radio show on WUMM

The University of Maine at Machias Career and Alumni Relations Center will air the inaugural episode of its new weekly radio interview show, Engaged Clipper Chatroom, at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 on WUMM Radio.

Jo-Ellen Scribner, director of career services at UMM, will use the weekly radio slot to interview alumni and employers from around the state. They will explore a variety of topics surrounding professional development and career pathways, discuss best practices when searching for a job, and share on their personal journeys to professional success.

The series premiere will feature an interview with Jennifer Graham, who first received an associate’s degree from UMM in 1993 and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2007. Graham is program manager at Living Innovations, a support agency serving people with disabilities throughout New England, with local offices in Machias, Millinocket and Houlton. She will be joined by the agency’s community living coordinator, Barbara Beaudoin.

WUMM Radio is UMM’s student-run radio station broadcasting on 91.1 FM in Machias or online at wumm.machias.edu:8000/wumm. The Engaged Clipper Chatroom will air every Thursday at 4 p.m.
