UMM professor featured in report on land conservation in Downeast Maine
Tora Johnson, associate professor of Geographic Information Systems at the University of Maine at Machias, was featured in a recent article from the Island Institute about coastal land conservation in Downeast Maine. The article states that Johnson, a social scientist who is “often called on to provide local data”, has been part of a group collecting data to increase understanding of the relationship between land conservation and municipal budgets.
