Senior art exhibit: Harleigh Gillespie

The University of Maine at Machias will present “(Untitled Perceptions),” an exhibit of artwork by graduating senior Harleigh Gillespie, on display from April 26–May 12 at the UMM Art Gallery.

Gillespie, who will graduate from UMM this spring with a degree in interdisciplinary fine art, creates textured, multidimensional pieces aimed at provoking meaningful conversation about individual perception. The work embraces a variety of mediums, including textiles, glass, paint and gypsum paste layered on drywall.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, April 26, 4–7 p.m.

The Art Gallery is located in Powers Hall and is always free and open to the public, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
