Film screening: The Hate U Give

Join us at the University of Maine at Machias for a screening of The Hate U Give, Friday, March 1, 6:30–8:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.

Based on the best-selling novel by Angie Thomas, the 2018 film is a powerful young-adult crime drama centered on the aftermath of a young man’s fatal shooting at the hands of a police officer. Rated PG-13 for mature content and some violence. This event is free and open to the public.
