The University of Maine at Machias Counseling Center will organize several events in September in recognition of National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. 

World Suicide Prevention Day on Tuesday, Sept. 10 will be observed with informative posts on the Counseling Center Facebook page at fb.com/ummcounselingcenter. Visitors are encouraged to change their social media profile photos to a lit candle to show support.
