Wabanaki Voices: College, Community and Career Roundtable

Please join us for a Zoom roundtable on Friday November 19th at 4:00 with UMM alums and current UM graduate students Natalie Dana Lolar, Colby Soctomah-Lewey, and Chris Johnson.

Panelists will talk with UMM Native American students and others about their background and journey to college and beyond. This will be a casual conversation where students are encouraged to ask any questions. We will talk about how the panelists chose their major, personal influences on choice, engagement with their Native community, their present occupations, and advice they have for current students.

* Natalie Dana Lolar, PhD graduate student, Anthropology and Environmental Policy, UM

* Colby Soctomah-Lewey, Licensed Addictions and Drug Counselor and MS graduate student in Counselor program Clinical Mental Health Counseling Concentration, with an expertise in Family Systems; 2021 UMM alumnus, BA in Psychology and Community Studies with a concentration in Applied Psychology and minors in Counseling, Substance Abuse Services, and Cultural Anthropology

* Chris Johnson, Ecology Manager, Sipayik Environmental, Department; 2017 UMM alumnus, Recreation and Tourism Management
