Information about the DHHS “swab and send” public testing site at UMM
Please note: Monday, Jan. 25 will be the last day of the swab-and-send testing offered by ConvenientMD on the UMM campus. Information about possible future plans for testing of community members will be posted as soon as it is available. At this time, we do not expect to hold testing days in the first weeks of February. Please visit the Keep Maine Healthy website for a list of other testing locations.

What kind of testing is offered?
The tests are nasal swab PCR diagnostic tests administered by ConvenientMD. Results are processed by the State Health and Environmental Testing Laboratory in Augusta.
When and where?
Tests will be administered Mondays, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. in the C wing of Sennett Hall on the UMM campus. The first testing date is Monday, Nov. 23, and testing will continue through at least the week of Jan. 25.
To park at Sennett Hall, use the main entrance to the university (at the electronic marquee), keep to your right and drive past Merrill Library, then take a left at the intersection (crossing the campus mall). Parking is available in front of Sennett Hall, and the entrance to the C wing is on the right side of the building.
Who can get tested?
Anyone can get tested, including members of the UMM community, who are encouraged to participate. The tests are free to the general public, regardless of symptoms and without the need for a referral from a healthcare provider.
How do I make an appointment?

Note: In order to streamline the registration process, appointments are strongly encouraged. Walk-ins will not be turned away.
You must register with a valid email address to make an appointment.
How do I access my results?
You may access your results online at patientresults.convenientmd.com/ums/. If you have not made an account with ConvenientMD before, you will need to click on “Reset Password” and enter email address and DOB that you provided to the front desk workers when you received a test. Your account information will be emailed to you and you will then be able to access your results.
If your portal is blank, your results have not yet been posted. Please allow 48–72 hours from the date of your test.
If you are having difficulty accessing the portal, please double-check that you’ve entered the same email address and DOB that you registered with at the testing site. If you continue to have issues, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can someone at UMM tell me my results?
UMM staff are not able to access or provide results for community members that are not students or employees of the university. Please check your portal and contact email@example.com if you have difficulty.

Can UMM staff/faculty/students still request a Vault saliva test instead?
As we move to remote instruction and then on to winter break, we are encouraging everyone to make use of the ConvenientMD testing site on Mondays if they feel they need a test. However, Vault tests will still be available over the break to those members of the UMM community who are unable to utilize the swab and send site for whatever reason. As we move forward with plans to resume in-person instruction in the spring semester, we will resume multiphase asymptomatic screening, similar to what was conducted in the fall.
