Quarantine and isolation guidance
What are UMM’s plans for the isolation and quarantine of students in fall 2020 and spring 2021?
UMM has designated separate quarantine and isolation rooms for residential students. A student health coordinator will be available to provide support. Please read the detailed quarantine and isolation planning guide for more information.
Do members of the UMM community who have been out of state have to quarantine?
Community members who had traveled to another state within 14 days of the beginning of the semester were asked to participate in testing or bring evidence of a negative COVID-19 test. Students and employees are strongly discouraged from traveling outside of the area during the fall semester. Those who leave Maine are expected to follow civil guidance regarding quarantine for travelers from other states.
The University of Maine System has provided a “COVID-19 Situation Matrix” planning document that provides guidance for employees in a variety of different scenarios. Access the document here.
