If students encounter problems accessing MaineStreet,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/accounts.maine.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click here<\/a>\u00a0to view user account management information. It may be necessary to reset the account password. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/umaine.edu\/it\/who-to-contact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IT Help Desk<\/a>\u00a0is also available for assistance.<\/li>\n<li>View the current course offering list.<\/li>\n<li>Check enrollment dates on the <a href=\"https:\/\/studentrecords.umaine.edu\/resource\/enrollment-appointment-schedule\/\">Enrollment Appointment Schedule<\/a> to determine wish list and enrollment appointments.\u00a0 The Enrollment Appointment is a set date and time when a student may enroll in classes for the term.\u00a0 An appointment is assigned to a student based on the amount of credit hours earned (excludes current class enrollments).\u00a0 Students may also access their enrollment appointment information in their MaineStreet Student Center shown under the &#8220;Enrollment Dates&#8221; section.<\/li>\n<li>Check for enrollment (registration) holds in the Student Center in MaineStreet.\u00a0 New students will have a hold associated with completing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maine.edu\/students\/student-success-1\/financial-responsibility-statements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.maine.edu\/students\/student-success-1\/financial-responsibility-statements\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1613072097066000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFS6NIKcI_RcX552H8r5BS7srzteQ\">Financial Terms and Conditions<\/a>.\u00a0 This information is designed to ensure awareness\u00a0and understanding of billing and financial obligations\u00a0as a UMS student.\u00a0 Complete the To Do List item named \u201cFinancial Terms and Conditions\u201d to release the registration hold on your account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Enrolling in classes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use MaineStreet to create a Wish List and enroll in classes at the proper appointment times.<\/li>\n<li>Select courses ahead of time using the \u201cWish List\u201d feature in Student Self Service.\u00a0 Adding classes to the Wish List <strong>does not<\/strong> enroll a student into classes &#8211; it is only the first step.\u00a0<strong> Students are not automatically enrolled from the Wish List<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Enroll using during the scheduled appointment times. Courses that require instructor or special permission need to be added by contacting the department offering the course.<\/li>\n<li>Some courses will allow students to add themselves to a Wait List.
