Join the Counseling Center, AMHC Sexual Assault Services and Next Step Domestic Violence Project for the annual Take Back the Night Rally/March, starting with the rally at the Performing Arts Center, at 6:00 p.m., followed by a march to the Machias Chamber of Commerce.  The program will conclude with a candlelight vigil.  Masks and physical distancing of 6 feet is required.  The Rally/March will be livestreamed on the University of Maine at Machias Counseling Center’s FaceBook Page https://www.facebook.com/ummcounselingcenter.

What is Take Back the Night Rally/March?

It was created to bring large numbers of women together to publicly express their anger about sexual violence.  It was a protest organized by women to unite and voice their desire to end the fear that they experience when it comes to sexual assault and other forms of violence.
