Fall 2022
New Student Orientation is held the weekend before classes start and offers events and activities for all new and transfer students.
Brief Schedule
Friday, August 26, 2022
- 8am-Noon: Orientation and Residence Hall Check-In. Orientation Check-In is at the Reynold Center, then go to Dorward Hall if you are living on campus.
- Noon-1:00pm: New/Transfer Students and Family Lunch in Kilburn Commons
- 1:00pm-1:30pm: Official Welcome (for students and families) in the PAC
- 1:30pm-2:30pm: Families Meet with Key Staff in the PAC
- 1:30pm-2:30pm: Students meet with Orientation Group at Various Places on Campus
- 2:30pm-3:30pm Families Farewell
- 3:30pm-4:30pm Campus/Classrooms Tours Meet at Dorward Entrance
- 4:30pm-6:00pm Dinner at Kilburn Commons
- 7:00pm: Residence Hall Floor Meetings & Residence Hall Activity in Dorward Hall
Saturday, August 27, 2022
- 8:00am: Breakfast in Kilburn Commons
- 9:00am-Noon: Orientation Groups rotate to various sessions in Various Locations
- Noon-1:00pm: Lunch in Kilburn Commons
- 1:00pm-1:30pm: Class Photo, location TBA
- 1:30pm-4pm: Orientation Groups rotate to various sessions in Various Locations
- 4:30pm-6:00pm: Dinner at Kilburn Commons
7:00pm: Evening Activity, location TBA
Sunday, August 28, 2022
- Breakfast or Brunch (depending on activities you are doing that day)
- Various Trips Off Campus which may include trip to Walmart, shuttle to in-town stores, trip to Jasper Beach, trip to Roque Bluffs, etc. More information about trips will be provided when you arrive for Orientation.
- On campus activities will also be taking place on Sunday for those who do not wish to leave campus.
