From September 2017 through May 2021, students who pass MAT 103M or MAT 111M with a grade of D- or better, and who previously received a grade below C- in MAT 9 or MAT 12, will have the grade earned in that developmental math course replaced with a corresponding forgiveness grade.

The original grade will appear on the transcript but will not be calculated into the cumulative grade point average.  The forgiveness grades used for this purpose will be preceded by a # symbol.

Students who have already successfully repeated MAT 9 or MAT 12 with a grade of C- or better are not subject to this policy since the effect of the previous grade has already been removed from the GPA calculation.
