Zalucky and Ross Named USCAA Players of the Week

Stefan ZaluckyMACHIAS, Maine – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced that two University of Maine at Machias student-athletes have been named Players of the Week for September 20, 2011.

Stefan Zalucky (Konstancin-Jeziorna, Poland), a sophomore forward for the UMM Clippers, is the Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. Zalucky helped carry the Clippers to a 3-0 week and a 3-0 record in the Yankee Conference by recording two hat tricks against Central Maine Community College and Unity College.

Courtney Ross (West Baldwin, ME), a freshman goalie for the UMM Clippers, is the Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week. Ross recorded two shutouts this week leading the Clippers to a 2-0 record of the week. She had six saves during her two shutouts.
