Wunderley and Herrera Named USCAA Players of the Week
The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced that two University of Maine at Machias student-athletes have been named Players of the Week for September 27, 2011.
Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Wunderley (Saegertown, PA) was named national player of the week this week. Wunderley earned a shutout in the Clippers only game of the week helping the Clippers move to 5-1-1 on the year
Sophomore goalkeeper Luis Herrera (Rialto, CA) earned national player of the week honors this week. Luis was unscored upon in two conference games against Northern Maine and Eastern Maine this week helping the Clippers move to 5-0 in conference and 6-3 on the year.
