UMM Summer Session Offers Nearly 50 Courses

Professor Doug McNaught takes his class outside on the UMM campus.MACHIAS, Maine – Students can choose from nearly 50 courses being offered at the University of Maine at Machias this summer. The wide variety of online and on-site courses provide current students an opportunity to get ahead with their studies, while prospective students and the general public can earn academic credit during the summer.

Registration is now open for the summer courses, which will run between May 23 and August 12. Many of the courses are organized into two sessions, May 23– July 1 and July 5–August 12, while some will run the full length of the summer term.

UMM will offer courses in the following subject areas: accounting, anthropology, art, biology, business, education, English, environmental studies, geography, health sciences, history, humanities, management, marketing, philosophy, psychology, special education, sociology, and women's studies. Summer course highlights include Papermaking, Energy in Society, Maine and Local History, Forensic Psychology, and QuickBooks Accounting, among others.

Enrollment in UMM’s summer courses is open to both current students and the public.
