UMM Hires Coordinator of Online Programs

Lynne WithamMACHIAS, Maine – The University of Maine at Machias has announced that Lynne Witham of Sullivan has been hired as the University’s coordinator of online programs. Witham will be primarily responsible for recruiting and supporting students in UMM’s online degree programs.

Witham most recently served as the coordinator of the Hancock County College Transitions program at Sumner Adult Education. Prior to that, she held multiple positions in alternative education at The Community School in Camden.

Witham holds a bachelor’s degree in university studies from the University of Maine, a program she completed through distance education.

“Lynne is dedicated to expanding access to quality education in Downeast Maine and across the state,” said Stuart Swain, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “I look forward to the leadership she will bring to our online programs.”

Witham began her position on the Machias campus on November 1.
