UMM Forms Athletics Hall of Fame
Induction ceremony to take place at Homecoming on Sept. 24
MACHIAS, Maine – University of Maine at Machias Athletics Director Brac Brady has announced the formation of the University of Maine at Machias Clipper Athletics Hall of Fame. Beginning this year, the University will recognize former student-athletes and coaches who have demonstrated extraordinary performance and achievement in athletics at UMM.
“We look forward to recognizing student-athletes and coaches who have done great things for this program,” said Brady. “We have a rich history of individual and team success and we now have a way to honor all of that in a permanent way.”
The inaugural Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place during UMM’s Homecoming and Family Weekend, at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, in the Reynolds Center Gymnasium.
Inductees in this year’s class are: Dana Colwill ’83, Frank McGrady ’84, Barbara Thompson ’86, Mike Bottalico ’86, Todd Middleton ’91, Tracey Kershner ’91, Andrew Meredith ’93, and Nathan Turk.
Hall of Fame inductees will be honored permanently in the Reynolds Center Gymnasium.
UMM is a member of the USCAA and participates in the Yankee Small College Conference. The University previously was a member of the NAIA Sunrise Conference.
