Tale of the Dancing Mermaids

"The Tale of the Dancing Mermaids" is produced by the belly dance classes at the University of Maine at Machias.  Other local performers and students will support this theatre-style production including a narrative of this love story of a mermaid and surfer that was written for the event.  Guest Hawaiian troupe Hui Na Kawaiuaili from Belfast, ME will also perform traditional Hula & Tahitian dances. 

The performance is from 1-3pm at the Performing Arts Center on campus on Saturday April 28th.  This event is free and open to the public, although donations will be collected for the Marine Mammal Center (which rescues stranded sea mammals).
