Trash Disposal

Students are expected to maintain their living environment and are responsible for disposing of personal trash in the trash room located in each residence hall.  A minimum charge of $25 will be assessed for inappropriate trash disposal or littering (i.e. left in common areas, dropped from windows, placed in restroom trash cans, etc). 

Items such as televisions, microwaves, refrigerators, couches, large furniture, rugs/carpets, computers and monitors, printers, futon, etc should not be thrown out in the trash rooms.  Fees will be assessed for any such items that are disposed of in the trash room.  It is also important to remember that when moving out of the room at the end of a semester or at the end of the year, that students take with them all large furniture, etc and not just leave in in the trash room, individual residence hall room, or common area.
