UMM to Hold Russia Trip Informational Meeting

Interested travelers encouraged to attend session on March 24

MACHIAS, ME – The University of Maine at Machias will hold a public information session at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, for people interested in next year’s 10-day trip to Russia, Estonia, and Finland. The meeting will take place in room 234 of Torrey Hall.

The information session is for anyone interested in Russia, particularly those interested in learning more about the trip, which will run May 16 – 26, 2011. Audience members will learn about Russian culture, as well as travel details, fees, and registration deadlines for the tour. Tour organizer Meghan Duff encourages anyone interested in the trip to attend the information session and to register as soon as possible. Discounts are provided to travelers who sign up early.

In addition to tours around the Russian cities of St. Petersburg and Moscow, the trip will include stops in Estonia and Finland. The trip is open to anyone 10 years of age and older. The tour fee includes airfare, ground transportation, all breakfasts and dinners, cost of the full-time tour director, entrance fee for local attractions, and hotel stays.
