How to Apply to be an RA

  • Thank you for your interest in the Resident Assistant position. We believe this is an excellent opportunity to become more involved with the student body. We encourage all individuals who are interested in making a difference for themselves and other students to apply to be a Resident Assistant.
  • In order for your application to be complete, on-campus students will need to provide answers to all the questions as well as reference forms submitted by your current Resident Assistant, plus two (2) references by a faculty member, or an employer. If you currently reside off-campus, you will need a reference from a current staff member plus two (2) references from either a faculty member or an employer.
  • Good luck to all applicants, and we look forward to meeting with each of you to discuss the Resident Assistant position in greater detail in the near future.
  • In order to be considered for a Resident Assistant position, all interested applicants must attend one of the informational sessions, complete the application form, three reference forms, and attend the group process exercise and the interview process. Completed applications are due Thursday, March 18, 2010.

Monday February 22 RA Applications Available online or at the Student Life Office located in Dorward Hall
Tuesday February 23 RA Information Session #1 in Dorward Main Lounge at 10a.m.
Wednesday February 24 RA Information Session #2 in the Cafeteria
Thursday February 25 RA Information Session #3 in the Clipper Lounge at 8p.m.
Thursday March 18 RA Applicaitons due to the Office of Student Life by 5:00p.m.
Sunday March 21 RA Group Process in the Clipper Lounge from 8p.m. - 10p.m.
March 22 - March 26 RA Interviews
Wednesday April 7 RA placements announced
