Eastern Maine Regional Brain Bee
Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at the University of Maine at Machias
UMaine-Machias will host the Eastern Maine Regional Brain Bee for students in 8th through 12th grades on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 from 8:30am until 2:00pm. There will be workshops, lunch and, of course, the competition. We have also scheduled a Backup snow date for Thursday, December 10th, 2015 at the same time. The regional competition is associated with the International Brain Bee, a not-for-profit neuroscience competition founded by Dr. Norbert Myslinski of the University of Maryland. The competition is intended to increase high school students’ interest in the brain and inspire them to pursue careers in brain research. The Maine Regional Brain Bee is being organized by UMM's Psychology and Community Studies program with support from faculty at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the University of New England.
