June Welcome 2013
Congratulations on your decision to attend the University of Maine at Machias! You are joining a small university community with an excellent support system here to get you ready to go for the fall.
June Welcome is our first event to help students get an early start on their college careers. June Welcome is a two-day event, scheduled for June 27th and 28th, which takes place on the UMM campus. Students will have the opportunity to register for classes, to meet other first-year students, to meet with faculty, advisors, and staff, and to explore the natural beauty of the Machias area.
June Welcome is totally free for students; the university provides meals and lodging.Family members are encouraged to attend but there is a small registration fee whichcovers the cost of meals on-campus. Family members will also have the option of reserving a room on-campus for a small additional fee.
This event is optional, but it is a great opportunity to meet with your future classmates and get to know the campus better before classes begin in the fall. Please take a moment to review the enclosed schedule and fill out the registration form for June Welcome. I look forward to meeting you in just a couple of months!
