Internationally Known Marketer Said Baaghil '90 to Present at UMM
MACHIAS, Maine – University of Maine at Machias graduate and internationally known marketer Said Baaghil will present “The Power of Belonging – The Marketing Strategy for Branding” on Thursday, September 8, 6–7 p.m., at UMM. Baaghil is regarded as the lead strategic marketing consultant in the Middle East.
A 1990 graduate of UMM with a bachelor’s degree in business administration/marketing, Baaghil went on to launch his career as a marketing strategy consultant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, an area not so open to his unorthodox approach. Soon after, he started Logic, a company that rose to success through its radical marketing strategies that resulted in a series of exceptional consumer-centric brands in the food and beverage industry. Today, he operates Baaghil Marketing, a consulting firm offering strategic brand marketing services.
In January 2008, Baaghil published his first book, Eccentric Marketing, and recently published his second book, The Power of Belonging: The Marketing Strategy for Branding.
Baaghil has worked tirelessly to spread awareness of innovative marketing practices and has written several articles for the Gulf Marketing Review, the most reliable source of information regarding marketing, advertising, and media information in Saudi Arabia. He frequently lectures at leading universities in the commercial center of Saudi Arabia.
The September 8th presentation at UMM is free and open to the public, and will take place in room 102 of the Science Building. A question and answer session will immediately follow the presentation.
