End-of-Semester Concerts Announced
MACHIAS, Maine – The University of Maine at Machias is pleased to announce several upcoming concerts and performances.
Community Chorale Concert: “The Messiah”
Tuesday, December 7 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center
Music professor Gene Nichols will conduct the Community Chorale in a performance of Handel’s “The Messiah.”
Pop Band Concert
Friday, December 10 at 8 p.m. in the Portside room of Kimball Hall.
Wind Harp Benefit Concert
Sunday, December 12 at 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
The Interdisciplinary Fine Arts program will host a harp concert, featuring local musician Molly Nichols, to raise funds for a six-foot outdoor wind harp for the UMM campus. Donations will be accepted at the door.
Fall Semester Recitals and Concerts
Monday, December 13 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.
Students in UMM’s Interdisciplinary Fine Arts program will perform in a variety of groups, including the Folk Group, Jazz Combo, Belly Dancers, and Town Band.
