Sunrise Education Pathways is a new education collaborative based at the University of Maine at Machias. The purpose of SEP is to provide supported access to career-centered educational  opportunities for adults in Washington County.

• Wednesday, January 9th from 5-7 p.m. (Advising Center, 2nd Floor of Powers Hall)
• Thursday, January 10th from 4-6 p.m. (35 Kimball Hall - 3rd Floor)

Application fee waived for students who attend an info session!

The public is invited to join in a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day sing-along at the University of Maine at Machias at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013. The annual sing-along with songs of peace and justice will take place in music room 201 of Powers Hall.

Public Forum on the State of the Lobster Industry

The Fitness and Aquatics Center at the University of Maine at Machias will host an open house from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The event is free and open to anyone interested in seeing what the facility has to offer.

The event will feature demonstrations of all group fitness classes offered at the Fitness Center this semester, including Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Women on Weights, Water Aerobics, and Yoga. Personal trainers will be available for questions and exercise demonstrations, and the pool will be open for swimming.

Representatives from UMM Campus Activities and the Environmental Recreation and Tourism Management program will be on hand to showcase what’s happening in those areas of campus. The University’s intramural sports program will have cornhole and other fun activities going on in the gymnasium for students to participate in.

Light refreshments will be provided until 6:30 p.m.
