Environmental Recreation and Tourism Management
Students take our program at UMM because they love the hands-on nature of the coursework, the field work, the small class size, and the internships that gain them quality work experience by the time they graduate.
The Environmental Recreation and Tourism Management program prepares students for careers ranging from park interpreters to recreation resource managers, camp directors, municipal recreation directors, nature-based tourism providers, hospitality & tourism managers, and many more.
Our students become very involved in campus and community stewardship and programming through many service projects over the course of their studies. These projects, such as the East Machias River Race and the Machias Haunted Forest, allow the students to learn by experiencing while benefiting the local community.
