UMM Honors Longtime Employees
Machias, ME - The University of Maine at Machias held its Annual Employee Recognition Dinner on Thursday, September 18th. The event was a time to welcome new employees and to recognize employees who have been with the University for many years. Three employees received certificates and applause for their dedication. They were:
- 30 Years: Alan Lewis (Professor of Ecology) and Linda Willey (Administrative Assistant)
- 15 Years: Jim Sawyer (Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker)
Nine new faculty and staff were welcomed at the Employee Recognition Dinner. They were:
Noah Dean (Assistant Professor of Mathematics), Daniel Qualls (Assistant Professor of Education), Michael Urban (Assistant Professor of Education), Angelynn King (Director of Merrill Library), Ingrid Asmundsson (Visiting Professor of Biology), Matthew Holsapple (Student Success Coordinator), Darlene Preston (Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker), John Duncan (Head Coach of Volleyball and Women’s Basketball), and Erik Smith (Director of Marketing and Public Relations).
