Democratic U.S. Senate Primary Forum May 1 at UMM
MACHIAS, Maine – The University of Maine at Machias will host a Democratic U.S. Senate primary forum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1 in the Portside room of Kimball Hall.
The Democrats running in the primary and confirmed to attend are State Senator Cynthia Dill, former Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap, and Portland businessman Benjamin Pollard. State Representative Jon Hinck is unable to attend the forum due to a work conflict.
Each candidate will have an opportunity to make brief opening and closing statements and respond to questions from the moderator and audience. Tora Johnson, director of the Geographic Information System (GIS) Service Center, and Ron Mosley, professor of business administration and business law, will moderate the forum.
The forum is free and open to the public and will also be streamed live on the UMM Web site at www.machias.edu. Twitter users can tweet questions to be asked of the candidates by using the hashtag #UMMLive.
