 General Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the overall direction and management of the Fitness Center and the Department of Recreation and Fitness
  • Directly supervise the personal training, group fitness, wellness, and intramural programs
  • Purchase fitness and recreational equipment

  • Coordinate program and membership marketing
  • Hire, train, and supervise front desk, personal trainers, and group fitness instructors


Education and Professional Experience

  • Master of Science in Education in Sports Administration from the University of Miami
  • Bachelor of Science in Education in Physical Education from Northeastern University
  • Previously worked at DePaul University, Northeastern University, University of Rio Grande, and University of  Miami. 
  • Served as a Master Trainer and Subject Matter expert for the American Council on Exercise

Certifications

  • American on Exercise certified personal Trainer
  •  Level One Golf Conditioning Specialist
  • National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist
  • Certified Fundamental Mat Pilates Instructor
  • American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor

 General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the general operation and maintence of the aquatics area.
  • Hire, train, and supervise lifeguards and swim instructors
  • Schedule and coordinate group and private swim lessons
  • Coordinate the scheduling of American Red Cross Programs
  • Schedule and coordinate pool rentals

 Education and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Management from the University of Maine at Machias
  • Graduate of the Washington County Leadership Institute

Certifications:

  • American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
  • American Red Cross certified Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor
  • American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Instructor
  • Certified Pool and Spa Operator
