UMM Announces CGIU Student Competition

Two students to attend global conference in Miami

Students – Here’s your chance to attend the third annual Clinton Global Initiative University in sunny Florida!

UMM will provide travel and accommodations for two students to attend CGI U, being held April 16-18, 2010, at the University of Miami. The catch... You must apply for the conference and submit a "Commitment to Action" in one of five focus areas: education, environment & climate change, peace & human rights, poverty alleviation, and public health. Applications are being accepted until February 22 through the CGI U Web site, www.cgiu.org.

To be considered for the free trip, you must also e-mail Chad Everett, UMM's Sustainability Coordinator, a copy of your application.

The Clinton Global Initiative University meeting brings together students and university presidents to take action on global challenges. To learn more about the conference and the application process, visit www.cgiu.org.
