Biography:
Bernie Vinzani has an MFA in Printmaking from Indiana State University. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally in such venues as The VI International Print Biennial, Cracow Poland; ARC Gallery, Chicago; Das Papier, Duren, Germany; Paperworks, Caracas, Venezuela; and the Maine Invitational, Portland, Maine. During the past twenty-five years, he has made paper professionally for book editions and artists at Vinzani Papermakers, his mill in Whititng, Maine.
Professor Vinzani’s work and has been featured in such publications as Hand Papermaking, The Book of Fine Paper, and Art New England. He has been a workshop instructor at the Penland School of Crafts, North Carolina; Haystack School, Maine; Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Colorado; The Southwest Craft Center, Texas; and the University of Alabama.
He now directs the Book Arts Studios on campus, which house letterpress and papermaking facilities, and the gallery for the book.
