Benefit Show for Greg Henderson on Dec. 17
MACHIAS, ME – The University of Maine at Machias will hold a benefit show and auction on Thursday, December 17 for longtime professor of art, Greg Henderson. Henderson has been a professor on the UMM campus since 1992.
Gene Nichols, a music professor in the Interdisciplinary Fine Arts program, is coordinating the benefit, which will feature a little bit of everything. “We are encouraging anyone to show up and read, dance, play, speak, act, recite, or draw,” said Nichols. “The stage will be open for people to support Greg in whatever way they want.”
The UMM Ukulele Club, of which Henderson and his wife, Terry, are members, is also expected to perform.
The benefit show and auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. in UMM’s Performing Arts Center. Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the Henderson family.
