Bangor Daily News - Writer / Photographer

Program Partner: Bangor Daily News

Supervisor

While interns will have a faculty adviser from the English, Creative Writing, & Book Arts Program, interns will work directly with Tom Walsh, reporter, Bangor Daily News.

Regular Duties

Interns research and write stories assigned and shoot both still and video photos.

Expected Output

Expected output would be a minimum of one story a week, although interns should produce as many stories as possible so that they leave their internship with as many "clips" as possible.

Time Frame

Three internship experiences are offered per year, based on the fall term, spring term, and summer term. Students are encouraged to apply early as it may take a year for an available time slot.

Process of Selection

Interested students who exhibit a high quality of writing are referred by the English, Creative Writing, and Book Arts faculty. Candidates will be interviewed and selected by Tom Walsh.
